The canvasxdraw How-To Series:

11 Episodes, One Place to Find Them All

Over the past several months, we’ve been building a video library aimed at one thing: helping canvasxdraw users get more out of the features they already have. No fluff, no filler, just the exact clicks and workflows our team (and one very special guest) uses every day.

We’re pausing the series here for a bit, so before we do, here’s everything in one place.

The Full Series So Far

Episode 1: Symbol Library

Build your own reusable symbols from any vector, text, or composite object, and drop them straight into canvasxdraw’s library alongside the built-in set.

Episode 2: Autotrace

Turn any raster image into a fully editable vector object in seconds.

Episode 3: Text Tools

Place and style text, write along a path, and build fully editable tables and all without leaving canvasxdraw.

Episode 4: Using Colors

The right tool for the job when recoloring raster images (Bucket) versus vector objects (Smart Vector).

Episode 5: Annotation Lens

Magnify or highlight any region of your canvas without redrawing a thing.

Episode 6: Vector Fill

Color traced images fast, with solid fills, gradients, and hatches.

Episode 7: An Engineer’s Guide to Grouping & Combining Objects

Our guest episode featuring Paul Dufour, retired Boeing Technical Fellow in Aerospace Structures, building a real engineering sketch using Align, Combine, Duplicate, Distribute, and Group tools.

Episode 8: Curve Tool

Draw smooth, controlled curves, switch direction mid-path, and mix curved and straight segments.

Episode 9: Smart Tools

Smart Snaps for one-click alignment and even distribution, with automatic guides.

Episode 10: Charts Overview

Build fully editable column, line, pie, area, and bar charts natively in your document.

Episode 11: How to Wrap Text Along an Object

Wrap text around any vector shape with the Text Path tool, and fine-tune the result with three positioning triangles.

What’s Next

This is a good stopping point for the How-To series, but not the end of it. We’ll be back with more, including new engineering-focused content from Paul Dufour starting in October. In the meantime, keep an eye on the blog for what’s coming next.
